Master of Photographic Arts (MPA), Third Bar
Professional Accreditations
I am so proud to announce that I received my Master of Photographic Arts Designation (MPA) from Professional Photographers of Canada in 2021, my First Bar in 2022, Second Bar in 2024 and Third Bar in 2025
“This prestigious designation is bestowed by the PPOC upon its members whose images accepted into the annual PPOC Image Salon over a number of years are consistently of a high quality and in recognition of the contributions made by them to the Association and to photography in Canada. These photographers have proven their photographic abilities by participating in the Association’s National Image Competition and have confirmed their dedication to the profession by serving the Association.” - Excerpt from the Press Release
Accredited Professional of Animal Imagery (APAI)
I was honoured to be among the first 20 photographers in the world to receive my Accredited Professional of Animal Imagery credentials from Animal Image Makers.
“AIM's Animal Photography Accreditation Program is the only credentialing program available specifically for pet and animal photographers. Upon entering this program, participants commit to ongoing education and elevating their craft. By earning points from qualified judges through image competition, participants prove their work is of the highest professional level.” - Excerpt from animalimagemakers.com
PPOC Accreditations
Accreditation is the first elevation above the general membership level, and is achieved by submitting samples of the applicant’s photography to a PPOC Board of Review for Accreditation. Accreditation demonstrates that the photographer is capable of delivering above average quality photography in a chosen category.
The Professional Photographers of Canada National Image Competition judging was this past weekend. Now that scores are official, I can finally share my award-winning images from the Eastern Image Competition back in the fall. The Eastern Competition includes all 4 Atlantic Provinces, Quebec, and Ontario, so it is highly competitive.
