When I think “dog”, I picture a beautiful German Shepherd. To me, a really good, solid German Shepherd is just the epitome of what a dog should be. Kaydee and Cairo fit that description perfectly.

I was fortunate to have the opportunity to photograph this stunning pair while they were visiting family in Memramcook, NB over the holidays. We were able to have their ordering appointment over Zoom meeting a few weeks later, and it worked out perfectly, I just shipped their artwork directly to their home in Ontario!

First, we captured Kaydee and Cairo in action, running through the snow-covered fields. Their energy and excitement were contagious, and it was clear they were having a blast. I always like to start my sessions with some running shots to let the dogs burn off some energy, so they’ll be more ready to sit and pose for their close-ups.

Winter sunsets can be magical, and this evening was no exception. Kaydee and Cairo were the perfect models for this chilly photo session. Their thick coats of fur protected them from the cold temperatures, and they would have been happy to stay out, cavorting in the snow long after the humans had had enough!
