A Typical Multi-Dog Beach Session
Four dogs. One reactive, one senior who almost didn't come at all, and two four-month-old Border Collie puppies with zero training and even less patience for standing still.
In other words, a typical Wednesday in the life of a pet photographer!

That was the whole chaotic crew from a beach session at Mary's Point last summer.
Jade is extremely nervous around unfamiliar people and dogs, so we had to choose a quiet, remote location for her. As a result, senior dog Puck was nearly left at home because she hates car rides. Her family ended up being so glad they decided at the last minute to include her. (And she did great!)
Onyx and Garnet were exactly what you'd expect from Border Collie puppies that age: fast, busy, curious, very sweet, and just a little bit wild.
None of it stopped us from getting beautiful photos!
We got stunning individual portraits of every single one of them. And somehow, on a beach, with four very different dogs, each with very different needs, we were able to create one portrait of all four together, too. All it took was a little patience, a lot of treats, and a touch of Photoshop magic!
Their human family didn’t believe this was possible.
