An Adorable Puppy Photoshoot In Moncton
When I saw my vet (the wonderful Dr Adele Doucet at Vet Champlain in Dieppe) post photos of an adorable Corgi puppy with a raccoon mask on her Instagram story, of course I wanted to photograph him! I was over the moon when I discovered that he was actually the new little brother of Rosie the German Shepherd, and they already had plans to book a session! I had already had the pleasure of photographing Rosie a couple of times, she was even the cover dog for the PAW/SBA (formerly Greater Moncton SPCA)’s 2022 calendar, along with cat sister Luna.
Baxter the corgi puppy is just about the cutest thing ever, but big sister Rosie, the German Shepherd is a beauty, too!
By the time we had our session, just a couple of weeks later, Baxter the Corgi puppy’s mask was already beginning to fade, and I’m told that it is completely gone now. No matter - he’s still one of the most adorable puppies I’ve ever seen!
For this puppy photo shoot, we went to a duckpond and trail near the family’s home in Moncton. Nature delivered, and we had a beautiful sunset as the icing on the cake. Not that this photogenic pair of dogs needed any extra window dressing, they would have brightened up the gloomiest day.
A perfect portrait of this beautiful pet family.
Finally, to wrap up a perfect session, we headed back to their home in hopes of capturing at least one portrait that included their 2 munchkin cats, Luna and Minnie. We weren’t sure if Minnie, in particular, would cooperate. While I wouldn’t necessarily describe her as cooperative, I did manage to capture one split-second moment while she was on top of the wicker egg chair, and that was all I needed! I was able to add her in with the other 3 pets, using the magic of Photoshop, and make their people very happy!
How happy would you be to come home and see these adorable faces in your entryway, while the real deal greets you with bum wiggles and wet kisses?
