My Master of Photographic Arts Designation
Five and a half years after joining the Professional Photographers of Canada, I have earned my Master of Photographic Arts Designation. When I first joined, it seemed like such an impossible goal, it wasn’t even something I was aspiring towards, but I quickly began earning print merits from entering my images into competitions and submitting successful accreditations, and next thing I knew, it wasn’t out of reach at all!

Tails of the Chocolate River
I’m beyond excited to finally announce a project I’ve been working on for a while.
In Tails of the Chocolate River, I will share my 3 great passions; supporting companion animal welfare, pet photography, and the beautiful part of Atlantic Canada I have chosen to call home.
From Hopewell Cape to Moncton, I will strive to capture the true character of my furred and feathered subjects, while doing justice to the breathtaking natural scenery along the Petitcodiac River and surrounding areas.

Finalist for National Photographer of the Year!
Judging for the Professional Photographers of Canada National Image competition took place last week, and I received my best scores ever, with 3 images receiving scores of Excellence (highest score) and 1 receiving a Merit (second highest). This means I am also a finalist for National Photographic Artist of the Year, as well as a Best in Class for Animals! Now for the torturous wait until the awards ceremony in April…

Third Place in WPE Awards
A friend recommended that I enter this international photography competition, WPE Awards, so I put 3 images in and then kind of forgot about it. Much to my surprise, I got home from a session on Saturday evening to a message that my photo of a poodle puppy jumping through a patch of clover took 3rd Place in the Animals category! All 3 of the images I entered received scores of “silver”.

Holiday Pet Portrait Fundraiser
Despite a few setbacks, the 2020 Holiday Pet Portrait Fundraiser for the Greater Moncton SPCA was still a big success. Altogether, we photographed 44 pets for 28 families, raising a total of $1180.00 for the shelter. Huge thanks to everyone who came out, and especially to the Tire Shack Brewing Co. for once again generously allowing us to use their space for this event.

2021 Pet Friendly Moncton Calendars Available Now!
The 2021 Pet-Friendly Moncton Calendars are finally available, and they look pretty great if I do say so. The calendar features dogs enjoying themselves at local, pet-friendly businesses like Global Pet Foods NB, Luv Paws Grooming and Bakery, Canvas Hotel, April Saulnier’s Dog Training, Pump House Fill Station, Shediac Paddle Shack, Euston Park Social, Magnetic Hill Wharf Village, Tire Shack Brewing Co., Simply For Life Riverview, and Art Shack. All profits from the sales of the calendars go directly to the Greater Moncton SPCA.

2020 Photographic Artist of the Year
I’m still a little stunned to announce that I have won the title of Professional Photographers of Canada Atlantic Region Photographic Artist of the Year for third year in a row! In addition, I also took home the Bruce Berry Award for Best General Print, 3 Best in Class Awards in the Fine Art, Pictorial/Floral, and Animals categories, AND all 3 of those images were selected for Judge’s Choice ribbons as well.

This year’s calendar fundraiser for the Greater Moncton SPCA is really shaping up to be something special. You can pre-order a copy for pick up at the Moncton SPCA here.

Fine Art and Nature Accreditations
I’m so happy to announce that I have achieved 2 more accreditations through the Professional Photographers of Canada. In this round of judging, I received my Fine Art/Photo Decor and Nature Photography Accreditations, bringing my total up to 8!
