For as long as I can remember, my life has revolved around caring for companion animals and nurturing the bonds they share with their human families - first as a vet tech, now as a pet photographer. This blog is where I will feature my fave pet photo sessions, share pet tips - including how to take better photos of your own pet, home decor and pet photo display ideas, news, updates, special events, and probably a lot of rambling about dogs and how awesome they are.

An Adorable Puppy Photoshoot In Moncton
When I saw my vet (the wonderful Dr Adele Doucet at Vet Champlain in Dieppe) post photos of an adorable Corgi puppy with a raccoon mask on her Instagram story, of course I wanted to photograph him! I was over the moon when I discovered that he was actually the new little brother of Rosie the German Shepherd, and they already had plans to book a session! I had already had the pleasure of photographing Rosie a couple of times, she was even the cover dog for the PAW/SBA (formerly Greater Moncton SPCA)’s 2022 calendar, along with cat sister Luna.
A Dog Photoshoot in Memramcook
When I think “dog”, I picture a beautiful German Shepherd. To me, a really good, solid German Shepherd is just the epitome of what a dog should be. Kaydee and Cairo fit that description perfectly.
I was fortunate to have the opportunity to photograph this stunning pair while they were visiting family in Memramcook, NB over the holidays. We were able to have their ordering appointment over Zoom meeting a few weeks later, and it worked out perfectly, I just shipped their artwork directly to their home in Ontario!
2022 Pet of the Year Winner
Congratulations to the winner of the 2022 Pet of the Year Contest, the horses of Broadleaf Ranch! I was really happy that Broadleaf Ranch won, because they are an amazing, local Albert County business who give so much back to our community.
2021 Pets of the Year
Congratulations to chocolate Newfoundland dogs Rosco, Daisy and Little Lulu, the winners of my first Pet of the Year contest! I couldn’t be more pleased that these 3 won. They are kind of local celebrities in Moncton, and Mom Stacey Butler is the most devoted pet parent you could imagine.
2020 Photographic Artist of the Year
I’m still a little stunned to announce that I have won the title of Professional Photographers of Canada Atlantic Region Photographic Artist of the Year for third year in a row! In addition, I also took home the Bruce Berry Award for Best General Print, 3 Best in Class Awards in the Fine Art, Pictorial/Floral, and Animals categories, AND all 3 of those images were selected for Judge’s Choice ribbons as well.
$810 Raised For Australian Wildlife
The Paws for Oz Fundraiser at Global Pet Foods in Moncton was a huge success, raising $810 to help wildlife in Australia. To date, the worldwide initiative has raised over $18,000 and still counting! I’m so proud that I was able to do my little bit to help out and so grateful to all the wonderful pet parents who donated.
Pets with Santa Fundraiser
Our Pets With Santa Fundraiser was a huge success, with a total of 71 pets photographed for 54 families and $1585 raised for the Moncton SPCA. The Tireshack Brewing Co. was a perfect, pet friendly location to hold the sessions. Many of the pet families stuck around afterwards to raise a glass or 2, with their dogs (and even one extremely laid back cat)!
The GMSPCA 2020 Treat Toss Calendar Fundraiser
On September 15, 2019 we held a Treat Toss Calendar Fundraiser for the Greater Moncton SPCA during their PawsWalk Event in Centennial Park. All around, the day was a huge success, with the calendar sessions and pre-order sales reaching over $1000 before we even have any calendars printed to sell! The PawsWalk raised another $7000+, so altogether a very successful day for the GMSPCA.
Kitten Season at the Moncton SPCA
It’s that time of year, when the Greater Moncton SPCA is overrun with kittens. Besides all the adorable kittens that are ready to go to their forever homes, the SPCA desperately needs foster homes for kittens like Soleil & Pluto (bottom right) who need to grow a bit and gain some weight before they will be ready for adoption.
Beach Dogs
Molly and Murphy are a pair of 8 year old Golden Retrievers who think they are still puppies. Their mom takes lots of photos of them, but really wanted to capture them in action, which is difficult without professional camera gear.
We took the dogs to Waterside Beach, on the Bay of Fundy (near Alma, NB and Fundy National Park). It was the perfect location, and even though the foggy, drizzly weather was a little disappointing at the time, the grey and sandy tones ended up being an ideal match for the neutral, beachy decor in the home! We even designed an (endlessly customizable) folio box to hold the mounted prints
